Escagnan

The Escagnan Distillery is located in Escagnan (Gers), the first French distillery producing Moonshine, even if there are already malt spirits in the area. Julien and Alexandre Leroux, the two brothers, are installed on the farm itself, managed by two Leroux brothers: their father and their uncle. Julien and Alexandre combined their respective skills of distillation and agriculture to create a distillery 3 years ago, in order to distill the raw materials of the farm, which are the cereals and the plum of Ente. They acquired a brewery as well as a Charentais Chalvignac still, which allows them to control the entire production chain, from the cereal to the bottle (excluding malting). They produce whisky, the first batch of which will be available in December 2023, Moonshine, a malt brandy aged for 8 months in oak barrels, and a plum brandy made from the fruit of their orchards.
