CHRISTIAN DROUIN VSOP (40%)

CHRISTIAN DROUIN VSOP (40%)

Tender and appetizing

Produced in the Pays d'Auge from bitter, bitter-sweet, sweet and sharp cider apples by double distillation in copper stills, VSOP is aged in small previously-used casks, including some former wine casks.

The blend also contains some sprits aged in former fortified wine casks, adding further sweetness and complexity.

VSOP thus offers an appetizing fruitiness over ripe apple flavours, combining smooth elegance with the first hints of spices.

"Amber hue with copper highlights. Focused, inviting nose suggestive of ripe apple and tarte tatin. The palate reveals a crisp, focused and fruity Calvados showing lovely balance and persistence. Ideal as an introduction to the category" Comments by Gilbert & Gaillard 2016
