DOMAINE D'ESPÉRANCE Baco 5 ans (40%)

DOMAINE D'ESPÉRANCE Baco 5 ans (40%)

Grape variety: Baco 22 A, folle blanche.

Local soil: Sandy clay soil.

Vinification: Low temperature vinification. The wine is very low in alcohol and is distilled quickly after the end of fermentation.

Distillation: With a continuous traditional still, at a low degree (52/54°): to retain most of the wines’ flavours.

Aging: The vintages have aged at first in new Gascon oak casks and then in older ones for at least five years. The casks are locally made in pedonculate Gascon oak. Their capacity is between 410 and 430 liters.

Details: Blend of at least four different vintages, the youngest of which has aged at least five years in barrels of Gascon pedunculate oak. It possesses a beautiful copper color, a wide range of aromas (prune, orange, vanilla) and a big complexity in mouth.
